Stop Motion Mastery: STEM Meets Animation and Creativity

Elevate your stop motion skills in this dynamic, hands-on course that blends STEM, animation, and building techniques. Dive into the world of stop motion puppets as you design and craft characters, perfect walk cycles, master action poses, and bring your creations to life.

This action-packed journey takes students through the entire filmmaking process—character and story development, set building, and integrating sound and music to create captivating narratives. Whether it’s engineering intricate movements or adding the finishing cinematic touches, students will develop a comprehensive understanding of stop motion storytelling.

Join us to explore the magic of stop motion and bring your imagination to life!

In this course, your child will:

🔺 Create their own puppet ready for stop motion

🔺 Build a basic wire armature and learn how to use tie downs

🔺 Make clothes for their puppet

🔺 Learn a variety of puppet-making techniques and select which is the best fit for their puppet

🔺 Become a puppet master!

🔺 Make stop motion movies with your own characters.

🔺Write a script and a detailed storyboard outline the plot of the story

🔺 Build their characters, sets and props using different 2D and 3D techniques

🔺 Film and edit their animations using various motion tricks and other other magical effects

Your child does not need any previous experience or skill in drawing, design or animation. They just need to show up with a good, positive attitude and a desire to learn and unlock their creative spirit. We will have a special party / art show on the last day of class to celebrate the student’s amazing work.

Our small class sizes allows for maximum individual attention needed to foster creative thought and problem solving skills.

*We are limiting our classes to small groups. (6 to 10 kids).
