Robot-Coding and Animatronic Design

Our introductory educational robo-coding and animatronics program is design to get you excited about engineering and coding principles while designing your own model or puppet. We offer a hands-on study and immersion in the art and technology of Animatronics: the art and science of making robotic characters that appear to be alive. Students will learn about circuits and programming, while controlling their own character, prop or machine performance.

We will have a special party / art show on the last day of class, to to celebrate our student’s amazing work.

Fashion design

Learn the basics of fashion design through creating a garment from start to finish! This class will teach you fundamentals on concept, design development, color, fabrics, patterns and sewing. You will have fun designing and creating your own collection to finally go home with your very own piece of clothing you made yourself!

What you will learn:

• What is fashion design. How to translate an idea into a garment.
• How to sketch and design your own fashion figures using various drawing media and styles.
• Learn how to visualize and communicate their creative fashion ideas effectively on paper.
• Learn all about color, fabrics, patterns and the importance in fashion design.
• Learn how to build basic block of a pattern, how to lay, trace and cut the fabric to be ready to sew.
• Learn how to use a sewing machine to build and finish your own garments.

Character Design and 3D printing

Learn to create your own characters and environments. During this ongoing course you will learn the foundations of character design from 2D to 3D. We will explore different physical mediums during the idea and the design process (paper, pencil, ink, marker, colored pencil etc…) then will learn all about 3D modeling and how to maneuver around different interfaces.

You will 3D print your character components, you will build it, paint it and finish it up!

Stop Motion Animation

Learn to create and design your own stories and characters for stop motion animated movies. During this action packed ongoing course, students will learn how to write a script and storyboard, build their own characters, sets and props using different 2D and 3D mediums to create their own animations. We will also explore how to create and find sound and audio for the characters as well as how to film and edit their animations.

Using stop motion tricks to create explosions, magic and all type of effects, student’s characters can battle it out or work together to save the day in this action packed stop motion class. Students will work in small groups to storyboard, create the action, film, and voice-over these exciting movies.

Digital Illustration for Animation

Learn the foundations of fun and appealing character design, storytelling, illustration and animation. This ongoing class is an introduction to character design, but it’s also a way for students to dive in to the world of creativity, to see something they have created come to life.

Students will learn how to use layers and create textures, as well as the best techniques for achieving realistic colors and lighting for their illustrations and designs.

If you'd like to start painting digitally, this course will get you started on the right path!

If you’d like to learn the foundations of character creation for illustration and animation, then this is the class for you!

Sweets and cupcakes illustration

Join us as we create our favorite sweet treats using all different 2D and 3D mediums. We will sketch, draw, paint and eat some yummy deliciousness like cupcakes, donuts, cakes and some other sweets. It's going to be super fun and sweet class!

Toy Design & Sculpture

Learn to sculpt creatures, action figures and maquettes for claymation, stop-motion or for your own toy collection. You will design your own character or creature with its own posing armature, then you will used tools to sculpt, bake and paint. Get inspire from your favorite comic books and cartoons’s drawings and learn how you can build upon two-dimensional work as an aid in creating three-dimensional figures. Students apply skills in drawing, model making and fabrication to create their own original toys.

Cartooning and Comic design

Come and learn the necessary tools and skills to create your own stories, characters, drawings, environments, dialogue and of course jokes! This course will get you drawing your own cartoon characters, while applying character design and visual storytelling technics. Each student will create and design their own comic book.

CLAY ART SCULPTING

Join us and learn figure and maquette sculpting techniques for animation in this fun kid's sculpting class. Your child will receive one-on-one guidance through every step of their learning process.

We will transform traditional sculpting technics into a fun and creative activity for kids. They will learn the basics of sculpting a maquette, paint it after and create details that make a sculpture come alive.
